lookin good!

digging it!

Looks great! what medium did you use to make it?

HappytoDraw responds:

Thanks alot! The picture is digitally done in Procreate from the sketch to the finished piece.

Looks great! Reminds me of monster hunter..a bit odogaron in the rotten vale flair.
You think it is mandatory for us artists to learn 3d sculting as well? I am unsure about investing a lot of time into this, but it seems so very convenient once learned...you think 3d sculpting makes art look more generic?

Eriyal responds:

As boring as this answer may seem, you just have to figure out what works for you. If you enjoy 3D sculpting and you think it could bring you an advantage, absolutely go for it. And if not, then don't.
I mean, plenty of people still draw/paint with traditional materials and some of them earn quite a nice amount for themselves.
Another good example would be anime and manga artists. The style is pretty much 2D and yet it's holding up really well and you can make a living off of it without any knowledge of any 3D programs.
So long story short, you do you! And if you want to make a living off of it, make sure to research the market you're interested in.

I love it..then again i also like frank frazetta (as mentioned below xD) it feels like an homage to him. Great stuff!

Robocorn responds:

Thanks a lot!
Frazetta was a lot better at picking colors than I am (among other things) but I tried really hard to capture his really emotive lighting and composition

I like it. it is very different. I also sometimes go hyper on all the details...for a day or so. then i zoom out with the mousewheel and get sad, because everything suddenly has a sparkling highlight and a black hole as shadow. you however did it in a very charming way. it makes me want to look at it for a longer time.

not really active anymore on NG but i come and check it out from time to time.
