He's just a bit overwhelmed he'll be fine
i dig the colours and expession. thank you for sharing
Thank you!
you made me look up an old piece of art that i would have never seen without your painting. thanks! and also: great work! HOWEVER the dragon needs tiny minions too... friggin angels ganging up on him like that. it is also interesting that you are additionally using the inverted triangle as a symbol. to me it even stands out more than the halo of the angel..maybe too much? i don't know.
this is one of those pictures that i want to take a look at more than once.
Great observations, Thank you! and glad you liked it!
this one seems like it has it all...great linework, light and shadow, colours, composition. i also like how you did those old leaves on the ground before the figure. if it would have been me i think i would have been tempted to actually draw a lot there and waste time on something not so important. i need to learn how to just slap on some basic shapes and let the mind of the viewer somehow do the rest while he/she is focused on the important stuff. i will favorite this one.
I think you are pretty spot on with what you said :) Learning to detail only specific parts of an illustration is as important part of composition as shapes or values. The eye is lead towards spots with more detail, after all!
omg i once thought about a picture like this one. i even made some pencil drawings back then haha xD i am just glad i am not the only one, so at least i can see it finished! must have been the smurfs who fed our imagination or so..
i like the green shrooms but somehow i cannot take my eyes from this sky. i can almost taste the heavy swamp-air when i look at it.
Thank you! And be sure to send me the drawing you did if you happen to still have it somewhere would love to see it!
sweeeet! this is like a stairway to giant dune worm-pussy-eyeball heaven, made of drugged afro furries. thats just golden xD
Hahaha that's the best description for anything I've ever heard xD
wow! you have a style and i like it. this is a fave now. your paintings hosted here on NG look like everything in your universe was infected by some kind of super adaptive lifeform/disease/parasite/fungi- thing and it sparks my imagination. ..that and it also looks like it is a shitload of work! how long did this piece take until it was finished? do you earn money as an illustrator or is this just a hobby?
Thanks! Yeah, fungus plays a large role in this place. This piece is small, 4x10 in. It took me a session to draw, and two sessions to ink and one to color. And about an hour and a half of gel pen high lights. Around five days. I deliver pizza during the day. I'd like to draw for a living though.
man i really need to learn how to leave out details and still make it look as professional as you do. this is an interesting character in a nice setting..makes one want to learn more about it.
i have no professional training..so if you have time then give me a few hints on how to improve please. =)
Thank you for all your nice words!!! I have a YouTube channel and i'm going to be showing my process on there :) check it out because there is going to be lots to come. Oh, and also if you have any pieces you want me to do like a paint over on just let me know.
the changes you chose to make made me smile. even the little guy got glasses! xD nicely done!...also looks like a lot of work.
Im happy you like it!
man i really like the style and the ideas. i am writing a story about some fantasy stuff and your paintings remind me of it. i hope your comic gets a well deserved hype. cheers!
Thanks! Yeah I hope people get excited as well :)
not really active anymore on NG but i come and check it out from time to time.
