good artwork but those many different and close by lightsources seem to make it a bit hard to get a good contrast thing going. what exactly is the project? and i would be interested to see more gods painted by you..i always need more, good art to enjoy on this site :)

DaemmonArts responds:

Thank you so much for your comment! :) The project is another book of D&D for the Dmsguild. I don't know the date yet.
Awesome, probably I'm going to do more! :)

I see the term "OC" all the time. ..and i have no clue what that is -.- also the girl has a good facial expression. was there a reference?

Rhycicle responds:

It stands for Original Character, for a long time I thought it was Orange County :D wasn't smiling at first but later warped the mouth and added some teeth, likely googled smiles for reference.

digging the contrast play and the little bit or red used. your background here is interesting.

CowFz responds:

You can thank the concept artists for the game itself for basically finishing off the design for me haha, the task was just attempting to tweak the character into my own style :P

sometimes i feel like lazyness can work to your favor..^^

Kamakazolly responds:

Sometimes I feel like my best work, or at least more appealing stuff is rushed / lazy :P

blender? lots of work. gotta respect that...i wish i would have been that hard-working when i was your age xD

RoseredTiger responds:

thanks XD I'm not at all hard working with most things tbh, I'm really lazy, but I can be very productive when I enjoy what I'm doing

it is cool that you considered the raised ocean sand. i also like curve and dynamic of the fishtail..nicely done imo

RoseredTiger responds:

thanks =)

love the pattern of the golden dragon..it must have been a lot of work and i would say it looks like hard labour is rewarding and kind of timeless.

UndyingSong responds:

Hey, thanks so much! It felt worth it once having gotten to the part where things started looking shiny. :)

(you asked for criticism) besides the eye..maybe the shadow under the chin in comparison to the shadow in the collarbone-region was what you felt as off to you? also the shadow/rendering on the side of the face with the lazy eye feels a bit off, but maybe you did that for the contrast and it was intentionally so i don't know. but i like the approach of - "someting feels off here..." - "screw it! i just need moar sparkles!" xD inspiring..i need more sparkles too. keep up the good work!

Ortani responds:

Hey, thank you for your criticism! The right eye was actually intentional, I was going for a crossed-eyed kind of look, and everything felt kinda okay to me except the right eye shape/size compared to the one on the left, not the position of the pupil itself. And also the hair, I was rendering it for hours and kept changing it with no satisfaction, so I got sick of it and as I said just put sparkles on it to finally finish it, also yes now that I look at the lighting on the right side of the chin it is too much and could have toned it down a bit, thank you again XD

the style is interesting..reminds me of those old sheet-metal-paintings of famous actors and such.

Ortani responds:

Thank you! I'm glad you like it :D

i think creating this would be hard for me..i keep wondering what the green box-thing-building is o_O

Akicat1 responds:

It is kinda like a insulated living-box :)

not really active anymore on NG but i come and check it out from time to time.
