Thanks! He's untying a map of sorts if I recall correctly
Dude you are amazing! you need more followers. I will at least do that and see what corel draw and you are capable of.
Its corel painter, technically, and thanks!
Epic ! You did not illustrate this digitally, or did you use filters to make it look like real colours?
actually it is a digital painting. I use Corel painter, which does an awesome job simulating paint in a realistic manner. thanks for the rating!
Hey! Great work as always! It has been some time since we had a chat. How long does one of your paintings take on average? Do you put everything on one layer?
Hey man!
Ahh how long each takes varies so, so much that it is almost impossible to answer, but these simpler pieces tend to be done in 2-4 days, the more complex landscape pieces tend to take closer to a whole week of work.
I do tend to try to use as few layers as possible, yeah. I find that if you plan things beforehand you can paint most everything on a single layer. However, if there are things I like to add which I am unsure or had not planned, I will add them on a separate layer and then later merge them onto the the same layer once I am happy with how it looks :)
cool!
thanks!!
yeah yeah..
fastfood, softdrinks and alcohol xD
only mr. roach seems to have something interesting in his hands haha
nice artwork. entertaining and interesting to look at.
He's taking it all for himself hehe, and thanks dude glad you find it interesting to look at :D
nice description. awesome bad guy!
hey thanks! really glad that you like him! appreciate the score and the comment!
*highfives
How much has sculpting improved your art? Would you recommend it to other artists? If yes, what is the easiest program and way to learn it? I played with blender manymany years ago, but back then it was too hard for me to get progress and i let it go after one attempt.
It's helpful, cause it helps understand the underlying shapes and makes shading easer.
Blender is pretty decent and is a bit more beginner friendly since 2.8, zbrush is the industry standard and has the best tools as far as I know, especially when it comes to really high res stuff, but I've been told it has a very confusing interface and is hard to learn
Smaugust?! That is new to me! I love it, but getting one painting out each day, seems so incredibly hard to pull off! I hope you can do it. I better give up before i start haha. Also: That mole dragon is quite terrifying tbh xD
I enjoy painting anywhay, so it's not much of a chore, and I'm pretty fast at painting all things considered, tho it does get a bit difficult sometimes.
And Yee, lol the mole dragon is a lil bit spooky, all eyeless and hairless
Quite brave to paint like that! I never really had this kind of bravery in my paintings..wish i had it though.
Thank you! I used a really weird scratchy brush for the effect and honestly, it was quite fun to use!
not really active anymore on NG but i come and check it out from time to time.
